Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the United States. Buss is the sole owner of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently is the president of the organization. A California native, Buss grew up in an affluent family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty tycoon, after which he later became the owner of the Lakers. When she was in the year 1972, her parents split in divorce and she was left feeling emotionally left out. She joined the family business when she was 19 to become the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. She later set up an organization called the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She was president of the Great Western Forum before assuming the role of vice-president for the Lakers. Buss took over Lakers ownership Lakers by her dad in the year 2013. The five siblings she had inherited it through a family trust. She was named president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling, a professional wrestling promotion with headquarters within Los Angeles.
